Class Booking Information
We encourage all students to book into their chosen classes. To do this, simply scroll down this page to the timetable, click on the class you'd like to attend, and follow the prompts. You may also like to create an account so your bookings can be easily managed.
No payment required at the time of booking - once you've attended a class, you can decide which Pass option suits you best.
Pass Information
A Term Pass gives students access to up to 4 classes a week and free access to videos in the Content Library.
A 10-Session Pass is $210 and has a 6-month expiry. This Pass allows you to attend 10 face-to-face classes. It also gives you full access to videos in the Content Library.
A single class Pass is a Community Pass and is $15. This Pass does not include free access to the Content Library.
Curated Beginner’s Program Pass is an on demand series of videos. If you are new to Tai Chi, or if you would like to have a structured program to help with home practice, we have a series of curated videos that are ideal for the Beginner student. Content of the program includes warm ups, teaching the 18 movements of Shibashi Set 1, common Tai Chi postures, footwork and stances. Also included is The Lotus Qigong and principles of movement. It is $35 and valid for 2 months.
Class Etiquette – Mindfulness begins at the door.
At Rising Moon Tai Chi, our practice of mindfulness starts even before the class commences and a few simple courtesies help keep the energy calm and flowing for all.
Please try to arrive about five minutes before class begins. This gives you time to settle in, find your place and catch up with other students. If you do happen to arrive late, that’s okay - simply enter the room quietly, put your things away, and offer a respectful salute to the instructor before joining the group. Students are expected to stay for the duration of the class, concluding together with a closing salute as a mark of mutual respect.
If your class is held at Mt Martha Uniting Church and another session is in progress, please enter quietly without disruption.
At Mt Martha House, if there is a class in progress, we kindly ask that you enter from the front of the House and wait in the sitting room at the far end of the Room 18 hallway. This venue is a vibrant community hub, hosting school groups, local activities, and one-on-one counselling, so it’s important that we remain mindful and respectful of the shared space.
Once the instructor is ready to begin, please take your place promptly so we can begin together with the opening salute.
Please do not attend class if you are unwell.
We understand that everyone comes to class for different reasons, whether it's to relax, improve health, build focus, or simply enjoy the movement. Thank you for helping us maintain a calm, respectful, and welcoming space where all students can enjoy their practice.
For easier bookings and Pass purchases, we recommend creating an account - just click the green button below to get started.
Refund and Cancellation Policy for Term Payments: If payment has been made for the Term, and you find you have other commitments, please give at least 1 week’s notice before the start of the Term for a full refund. If less than a week’s notice is given, or if you do not attend, no refund can be issued. Term Passes can be transferred to a friend or family member (who are not an RMTC student). Term Passes are purchased for participation across a scheduled school term and are offered at a reduced rate based on regular attendance and commitment to the full program.
As class planning and enrolments are structured around term participation, Term Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-extendable once the term has commenced.
We understand that illness, travel, work commitments and unexpected personal circumstances can occasionally affect attendance. However, a Term Pass secures your place for the duration of the term and is not based on the number of classes attended.
Unused classes, missed weeks or partial attendance cannot be carried forward, credited or transferred into future terms.
Refund and Cancellation Policy for 10 Sessions: Refunds are available only if none of the 10 sessions have been used.
Once the Pass has been activated, it becomes non-refundable. However, any remaining unused sessions may be transferred to a friend or family member who is not currently a student of Rising Moon Tai Chi School.
10-Session Passes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Extensions beyond the expiry date are not available.
Refund and Cancellation Policy for Short Courses, Workshops, and Holiday Programmes: If you are unable to attend a workshop, short course or holiday programme, please provide at least 7 days’ notice prior to the commencement of the event and a full refund will be issued.
If less than 7 days’ notice is provided, 75% of the event fee will be refunded.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the event, or for non-attendance.
However, your booking may be transferred to a friend or family member.
Refund Policy for Instructor Illness: If classes are cancelled due to instructor illness for more than one consecutive week, the term may be extended into the holiday period to accommodate missed classes. If this is not possible, alternative arrangements may be determined by management.
