Other Feedback

"I would highly recommend the RMTC school to anyone contemplating beginning the tai chi journey, or anyone wishing to further advance their tai chi practice.  Jenny Harrison has a skill for presenting each of the tai chi forms in a step by step progression that enables all students to make considerable progress.  The class atmosphere Jenny cultivates is always nurturing, inclusive and encouraging with students ever ready to celebrate each other's achievements.  Support materials for home practice can be purchased through the school and have proved to be an invaluable aid.  Free tai chi sessions in the park over the summer months are a popular social activity and just one of the many ways Jenny demonstrates great dedication to running her school.

Tai Chi is often described as moving meditation.  When I joined the RMTC school, I found myself moving under the instruction of a dedicated and talented teacher and alongside a wonderful bunch of tai chi enthusiasts.  I highly recommend the School."  - Bev

“I attended a 24 form workshop on Friday in Melbourne. I had lots of comments about my high standard of tai chi which I was obviously very pleased about but I am writing this to thank you for your high standard of teaching and attention to detail. As you are my only teacher my tai chi abilities reflect your teaching standards so I am very grateful.  I am pleased that I still have a lot to learn and will continue to enjoy that process.” - Ruth

“…So Jenny, I’m writing about all this to you because both your teaching and your thought provoking sayings were very instrumental in guiding me forward. Particularly your publication of the image of the two types of people in the world, (one flailing in the water as if about to drown, and the other floating peacefully). I’m grateful that through your devotion to teaching, your patience whilst I “flailed” through life, your grace in accepting my choices; all goes to show how you’re the embodiment of what you’re teaching, and I do respect that enormously! It’s such a worthy thing that you’ve done and are doing; helping others find a wellness they’ve not known before, how fabulous!” - Jen

  • “When the opportunity to do the Tai Chi Level 1 course came up I thought it would be a great one to do. So on Saturday I attended the first of three Tai Chi training days with Jenny Harrison. Having attended numerous training courses, I thought Tai Chi would be a walk in the park as it would be the most gentle and to top it off it was only a half day training.

On completing the first day I went home totally shattered, physically and mentally. The next day whereby normally I do a lot of training, but I was still feeling exhausted and hence I ended up doing nothing. Many emotions ran through my mind and I went into total rejection mode. I couldn’t remember any of the Tai Chi moves I had learnt and I just did not want to do it anymore. What was so hard to accept is that it seems so simple yet so elusive.

Come Thursday I decided I need to at least get through the course. So I made myself sit and just watch the YouTube of Jenny executing the Yang style 5 form. Watching her beautiful flow, grace and yet incredible strength, control and focus, it suddenly dawned on me that this is amazing, and I absolutely love this. I jumped up and started to practice, focus and tried to seep myself into the essence, the inner strength and the whole history of Tai Chi. It was an amazing feeling whereby I felt excited to find myself at the very beginning of a very long journey of an amazing art form.

Doing this course opened up a whole new dimension for me. I realised that I needed to go in with an open mind in order to experience the full flavour and subtle nuances that Tai Chi has to offer. Jenny’s approach where her love of Tai Chi is clearly evident, her very wise and respectful approach resonates strongly with me. I have learnt a tremendous amount from this course and felt my life has been enriched by this experience. I went through so many emotions and thoughts over a few days and I came to the conclusion that it is truly a beautiful way to meditate, exercise and live life.” - Tina
